A Little Bit About Me

Hello, my name is Laura.

I have always been passionate about childcare and early years.

After managing nurseries for most of my working life, gaining 28 years

experience along the way. I have always wanted to start my own

nursery and do things my way for children and their families. 

In the past when I have managed other settings, I have always felt I

could have provided a better experience for children, families, and

staff if the setting had been my own. 

I finally made the decision to follow my dream, of starting my own

nursery: so that this time I can do things my way.

I want to provide a quality setting for not only children and families but for

staff too. I have now got that opportunity and I am so excited to be opening my first nursery for families here at Bump & Beyond Ryecroft. 

I have a range of experience working with children and young people up to the age of 18. 

I have worked in nurseries, schools, and children’s centres. I also have experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead. 

I am a mum of 3 myself to Luke, Lucy and Ruby which brings with it the best experience there is and understanding too of how being a parent can be so rewarding but also a tough job! 

I believe that every child has the right to the best learning and development journey and that starts firstly with you but also with us as their early years setting. A child’s early years are so important in shaping their future lives and future experiences. 

I have a vision that my setting will provide a service to expectant parents as well as providing quality childcare to your children.

At the last nursery I managed we achieved an Ofsted grading of ‘Outstanding’ and I intend to bring this standard of childcare with me to Bump and Beyond. 

I want to provide a nursery that you can depend on and trust, and know that your children are safe, happy, always learning and having fun: without you having to worry and we are with you 'from the start'.

I look forward to the journey and watching my setting develop and become an important part of the community.
